Fortinet
PROJECT DETAILS
Fortinet
Sunnyvale, CA
WBE completed the electrical infrastructure for Fortinet’s new 172,000 sq. ft. headquarters at the corner of Kifer Road and Commercial Street in Sunnyvale, California. The state-of-the-art facility achieved a LEED Gold Energy Efficiency Rating and incorporated advanced sustainable design features.
The building was constructed using a precast concrete structural system with a highly efficient passive cooling strategy, including a night purge system that flushed warm air from the building overnight—contributing to direct energy savings and a reduced carbon footprint. As part of the renewable energy scope, WBE installed a rooftop photovoltaic solar system consisting of 1,145 panels, generating approximately 570,000 kWh annually.
WBE was responsible for the installation of all electrical systems, including the fire alarm, DAS/ERRCS system, lighting and lighting controls, and over 139,000 square feet of site lighting around the parking areas. In addition, the team installed EV chargers throughout the parking lot, supporting Fortinet’s commitment to clean energy and electric mobility.
